چکیده

| In the last years different prediction models for indoor environments were developed for the frequency range between 500 MHz and 5 GHz. Each of these models has its own advantages and disadvantages. In this paper four of the most popular models are compared to one another and to measurements in different buildings. The comparison is limited to the prediction of the received power because two models are only able to predict the power. Two models are also able to predict the delay spread and one model is additionally able to predict the standard deviation of the instantaneous field strength (fast fading) related to the median field strength. For this last model a comparison of the results for the delay spread and the fast fading is also presented in this paper. Three different buildings were used for the comparison of the models. A new office building with concrete walls at the University of Stuttgart (Germany), an old office building with brick walls in Vienna (Austria) and the villa of Marconi, which is a very old building (brick and wood) in Bologna (Italy).

کاربرد روش معادله سهموی در تحلیل مسائل انتشار امواج داخل ساختمان

With the rapid growth of indoor wireless communication systems, the need to accurately model radio wave propagation inside the building environments has increased. Many site-specific methods have been proposed for modeling indoor radio channels. Among these methods, the ray tracing algorithm and the finite-difference time domain (FDTD) method are the most popular ones. The ray tracing approach ...

Performance Based Seismic Rehabilitation of Steel Structures with Different Types of Shear Walls

Seismic rehabilitation provides existing buildings with more resistance to seismic activity, ground motion, or geotechnical failure due to earthquakes. Performance-based rehabilitation is a general concept through which the retrofitting criteria are defined regarding to performance objectives when the structural and nonstructural members are subject to different levels of earthquake hazards. In...

Application of Phase Change Material (PCM) for Cooling Load Reduction in Lightweight and Heavyweight Buildings: Case Study of a High Cooling Load Region of Iran

The application of phase change material (PCM) for energy conservation purposes in the residential buildings was investigated in the present study. Two types of building in terms of materials as the lightweight building (LWB) and heavyweight building (HWB) located in a high cooling load demanding region of Iran were considered for the study. Different types of PCM from organic and inorganic cat...

Advanced Ray-optical Wave Propagation Modellingfor Urban and Indoor Scenarios

Ray-optical propagation models are often utilized for the prediction of the field strength (and delay spread) in mobile radio networks. However, the practical usage of these deterministic models is limited due to their high computational demands. A new method for the acceleration of ray-optical models is presented in this paper. It is based on a single preprocessing of the database in which the...
